What this site is
wecanuseai.com is a directory of tools, maintained by one person. Some were built here. Most were submitted by the people who own them, and a submitted listing is published in its owner's own words.
Using the site
- Use it for lawful purposes.
- Do not try to disrupt the site or the tools running on it.
- Submitting automatically is welcome, including by an agent acting for a tool's owner. The published rate limit applies either way.
Submitting a tool
Submit a tool only if you are its owner or are acting for them. You keep every right you already had in it; you are giving permission to publish the name, link, description and data-collection statement you submitted, and to show them alongside an automated assessment.
What you write must be accurate. The data-collection statement in particular is published as your own claim about what your tool does with people's data.
What may not be submitted
- Anything unlawful, or a tool whose purpose is to break the law.
- Malware, phishing, credential harvesting, or anything that misrepresents what it does once opened.
- Sexual content involving minors, or content that sexualises them.
- Adult or sexual content of any kind. The site has no age check, so it lists nothing that needs one.
- Material that harasses a person or incites violence against people.
- A link that goes somewhere other than the tool it describes.
- A tool submitted without its owner's involvement, or the same tool submitted repeatedly.
How listings are placed
Placement is automatic. A submitted tool is examined by an automatic check that reads the page it points at and records what it finds: category, what the tool asks of the person using it, and whether the page supports the description given. That check decides which section a listing appears in.
Any listing can be moved, hidden or removed, including where the automatic check got it wrong. Ordering is never for sale, and no commercial arrangement of any kind affects it.
Two kinds of commercial arrangement can exist, and both are labelled where they appear. A link marked as an affiliate link earns this site a commission if you sign up; it costs you nothing more than going to the tool directly. A placement under the heading Sponsored is paid for. Neither is assessed, neither is ranked, and neither changes where any other listing sits.
Getting a listing removed
If it is yours, the management link in your emails removes it immediately and needs nobody's approval.
If it is not yours (a listing that misrepresents your tool, infringes your rights, or should not be here), use the report button on its card, or write to contact@wecanuseai.com with the listing and what is wrong with it. Reports are triaged automatically and a listing reported by several people is hidden pending review.
Who is responsible for a listed tool
Except where a listing says it was built in-house, a tool belongs to the person or organisation that submitted it. This site does not run them, cannot vouch for them, and is not responsible for what they do with anything you give them. The data-collection statement on a listing is its owner's claim, shown so you can judge it, not a guarantee from me.
Once you open a tool you are on the owner's own site, under their terms and their privacy policy.
No warranty
Everything here is provided as is. A tool can change, break, or go away without notice, and the automated assessment can be wrong. If something is broken, say so and it will be looked at, but nothing here comes with a guarantee attached.
Liability
I am not liable for damages arising from use of this site, any tool listed on it, or any service it links to.
